The Fire Fighting suits/gloves has four layers:
Outer Shell: 6.0oz NomexIIIA weaved fabric. It is fire retardant, oil proof and anti-static. It also has good resistance to acids and alkalis. This material is from Dupont. It is inherently flame resistant and has excellent resistance to mildew, aging and abrasion and laundering. It dose not burn, melt or drip in fire.
Moisture barrier: GORE-TEX / PTFE. This layer could stop water from outside but let perspiration and heat inside evaporate into the atmosphere.
Thermal Barrier: This uses the non-woven felt made of FR ARAMID which is flame resistant and anti-heat radiation.
Comfortable layer: 100% cotton fabric
Reflective Stripe: 3M Scotchlite reflective tapes
